Getting To Know Your Parts --> For a Whole Happier, More In-tune You

I recently discovered Internal Family Systems (IFS) through my good friend Tim Sotoadeh who recently became a practitioner after years of working with this form of therapy himself. Tim shares:
"Before IFS, whenever I was faced with a difficult or triggering situation, my body got hijacked by my emotions; I said things I didn’t mean and did things I later regretted. I felt powerless, confused and defeated. Upon learning about IFS I realized that my body wasn’t being hijacked by my emotions — it was being hijacked by my parts."
As someone who feels strongly called to better understand how I show up in this world, and knowing deep down that it starts with the Self - I immediately resonated with what IFS was all about. The concept that this "Self" wasn't just one thing (or "person"), but rather that I was actually a collection of "parts" made complete sense to me, especially once I started diving into who some of them were - alongside Tim's help in my very first IFS session.
It's definitely a unique form of therapy, one in which I felt entirely in control and safe throughout - although yes, it can sometimes feel challenging or uneasy when you discover that certain parts exist, and/or what they need/ed. I've always been a huge advocate of self-help as well as pursuing therapy with a practitioner of some sort, because let's be real, the world can be a tricky place to navigate at the best of times! Getting to know yourself more, and respecting exactly what it wants, needs, and deserves, is ultimately and profoundly one of the best things you can do for your health, relationships, business endeavours, and anything else in store for your best ever life. I am so excited about Tim's new venture in the IFS world and making this insightful healing more accessible to more people - we all can benefit, and I truly mean that!
